If you’ve ever been able to turn up for my Twitch streams you might have heard me talk a lot about design, Twitch branding, marketing and wide range of other topic. I’ve decided to collect the best bits as short audio stories that you can consume on the go. They’re edited to have a better flow and that means that you don’t need to get on the stream — even if that means you’ll lose out on 3 hours of great content
Nonetheless in this episode I talk about the difference between design and art, and also why being able to explain your design to yourself and others — both as a designer and as a streamer that does their own design or branding.
I’m still fine tuning the audio settings on my stream so the audio is bit rough but this is only a start to what I hopefully will be able to bring you in the near future.
You can check out my Twitch streams at twitch.tv/twitchsurgeon from 10AM to 1PM EST on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. There will be weekend streams as well but they’re not guaranteed.

]]>We’re back with another random episode. Not the return of weekly content but a one-shot of sorts. Riffle.tv wanted to talk with me and get some feedback on their website so I asked if we couldn’t turn it into a podcast and so we did. So here you have an interview with riffle.tv
If you haven’t haven’t heard or tried out riffle.tv, both as as a streamer and as a viewer you might be in for a bit of a surprise. What they want to do solve is adding more funktionalitets to Twitch that today dosen’t exist. A few things that stand out is the schedule (and I like to think I gave a great suggestion in the podcast) and the giveaway contests/games that they have. On top of that it’s a mobile solution and that means it’s not for your desktop but rather all for your mobile.

]]>In this weeks episode I’m talking about the LiveSpace network all the way from the start to thinking about the future. Of course I relate it all to a Twitch channel and I also talk extensively about things you might want to do to make your channel even better. Since I’m not a streamer you can and should be able to take a lot of inspiration from this episode.
Hear about how it all started, what happened, the trial, tribulations and the future. I predict the future (both for Twitch channels and LiveSpace) some things, talk about growth, scaling with the growth, setting goals the right way and that you might want to talk to yourself about your channel more.
All this and much more in this weeks episode of the LiveSpace Twitch Podcast (The LTP?)

]]>Feels good to be back to normal content and I was lucky to be able to get Stream Hatchet on a interview just a few hours ago. Stream Hatchet is all about statistics and analytics, something that no one else is doing at the moment and these guys do it very well. We end up talking about their entire service, pricing and even possibilities beyond what they had in mind. I must say that I’m totally in love with their service, that’s not a biased opinion and I actually just think that their service is something that a streamer of any size can use to improve their stream. I’ll probably do a write-up on it as well since it’s a lot of things that you can do wrong if you look at the statistics the wrong way. I hope that you check out Stream Hatchet and give them feedback while they’re in beta (it’s free).

]]>Didn’t have time to visit the TwitchCon Education Zone? Or wasn’t at TwitchCon to be able to do that? No worries I give a brief overview of the ones I met. From HoneyLedger, GameWisp, StreamPro, GameShow, Flood Gaming, strexm, skreens, StageTen and infiniScene.
I talk about bad design, clunky software, the future, the good and the bad. Make a cup of tea and sit down and enjoy my jet-lagged brain trying to figure everything out before it explodes. Oh and I want to bring all of these guys from the TwitchCon Education Zone on to the podcast at some point and I’ll be sending out e-mails as soon as my brain gets back to “normal”.
